Canon O’Brian eliminated from NXT season five: WWE News
The seventeenth week of WWE NXT Season Five featured another Rookie’s elimination on Tuesday Night. The fourth NXT rookie, Canon O’Brian, was eliminated from NXT Season Five tonight.
The NXT show opened with the announcers, Todd Grisham and William Regal. The first rookie, Darren Young made his way towards the ring. He told the crowd that Chavo Guerrero was not there because he quit. Young said about himself that he was still in the
show due to his own efforts and he would be the NXT winner. Canon came out and spoke that there would not be any more talks because it was time to do something special. Darren and O’Brian were locked for a fight. Darren Young amazingly fought and took the
victory over O’Brian by hitting his finishing move, Frog Splash for three counts.
The second match was taken place between two pros, Yoshi Tatsu and Tyson Kidd. When the match started Yoshi got the momentum over Kidd very soon. Yoshi drop-kicked Kid and pinned for a near fall. Kidd threw Yoshi into the corner and then stomped him on return.
While Kidd was whipping, Yoshi survived and countered with a kick on Kidd. At the end, Yoshi dropped Kidd with his trademark move, ‘Roundhouse Kick', on Kidd’s head and got three-count victory after pinning.
Before the third match started, Maryse came out and joined the announce table. The last fight was conducted between JTG and Titus O’Neil. Both made their way to the ring in a huge pop of crowd. O’Neil’s Pro, Hornswoggle, was also with his trainee. In a short
time, O’Neil took the victory against JTG by hitting Clash of Titus for three counts. Hornswoggle celebrated the victory by getting up on O’Neil’s shoulders.
After the match, Matt Striker announced the elimination of the week. O’Neil had 22 redemption points, Darren Young with seven redemption points, while O’Brian had the lowest three redemption points. So O’Brian was eliminated from the season five of NXT.
O’Brian thanked everyone for supporting and voting him. At the end, Derrick Bateman with his pro Daniel Bryan was introduced as new rookie for final week of season four.
