Canon PowerShot A530 flash help?

yeah the flash isnt working.....ive tried new batteries, and messing around with it....and i dont know what else to do...whenever i take a picture (and i have the flash "on"), it will make the flash noise, but there wont be any flash....help??? thank you!! : )

Your flash is likely dead. Looks like the flash and battery holder all come together when looking for replacement parts... so if there's an issue, it could affect both the flash and batteries.

I've seen an A530 complaining the batteries needed to be replaced (which had already been done) and it wouldn't take pictures with the flash enabled. Once the flash was disabled it took pics fine.

Long story short, search "canon a530 flash" on ebay. For $10 you can get just the flash/battery part or for $20 you get get a new mainboard/flash/battery holder.
