So I've done the research and I'm aware of the differences between these two similar models. Which one do you think is better though? In terms of photo quality, ease of usage, etc.?

  1. These two cameras are almost 100% identical. Other than a slight difference in body, the ONLY main difference between them is that the SD750 has a 3" LCD and no optical viewfinder...and the SD1000 has a 2.5" LCD, plus an optical viewfinder, that's all.

So, I would say that the SD1000 is the slightly better model, but only because it includes the viewfinder.

However, if I was recommending an SD model...I would suggest you try and get a slightly newer model. One which includes IS (image stabilizer) because it has an advantage over a camera that doesn't have IS, especially in lower light.
