Canon Rebel?

My mom is giving me her Canon Rebel (I'm very excited). I'm not sure what model it is. Are all models digital or are some models only film compatible?

Canon makes both digital and 35mm in the rebel line.

Digital (body only) may be bought for around $650~700 while the 35 mm goes for somewhere around $350 (???).

they are both digital and film compatible, unless it is a really old model.

There are both film and digital. The digital ones are the XT, XTi, XSi and the newest one will be the XS.

There are also film versions Ti, Tii, K2

The good news is that all the lenses from the film versions will fit on the digital ones. The EFs lenses like the 18-55mm will only work on the digital versions though. If the lens say EF you can use it on both though.
