Canon and Cannon - Are they the same company?

I always thought the manufacturer of my cooker and my digital camera were the same. Then I noticed that on my cooker it's spelt Cannon and on my camera, Canon with 1 N, and the website is with 1 N.

  1. They are not the same company. Cannon cookers are made in Staffordshire by Cannon industries 1865.

    Canon cameras  UK Ltd are from Reigate Nr Gatwick airport.


  2. Canon makes cameras and hi-tech electronic gagdets.  Cannon makes cookers and other appliances.  They're two different companies.
