my canon digital camera has been ok but now its showing some black images, cant record. help. my email: [e-mail]

all of a sudden when I turn the camera on to record the LCD screen is black, and I can't see anything through the viewfinder. It's black in the paused and record position. Can't figure out how to fix it. Rrrrrrrrrr!!!
