Canon or Nikon Model?

Question

Which camera is better because i have owned canons all my life. Right now I'm just investing in small little camera for fun so, which camera is better, the Canon SD 1100 or Nikon S550? I've read endless reviews but I trust these opinions the most.

Of these two, I would get the Canon.   It has Image Stabilization which will help to take pictures that are sharp, and It also has a  viewfinder.  I find the viewfinder very valuable for taking pics in bright sunlight, because the LCD screen is worthless in sunlight.
