  1. NIKON D80

  2. These are all fine cameras that will produce beautiful photos in the hands of a user that knows how to use it.

You're comparing a Mercedes Benz to a BMW. Both will get you to places in style, assuming rightly that you know how to drive.

  3. Canon os King

  4. if u gonna take a look at www.cameralabs.com u gonna see that canon's lower end cameras are just nailing nikon's lower end camera.. on the other side.. canon's lower end cameras are a bit pricier than nikon's.. but at the end of the day.. u just have to  spend a few more bucks for canon's quality..

  5. My first camera was a Canon and I was rather happy with it. I'd go with the Canon, though I'm not sure which model.

  6. #1Canon Digital Rebel XSi (best in this price range)

#2Nikon D80 (2 year old camera just little out of date but still good)

#3nikon d60(great camera for the price)

#4Canon Digital Rebel XTi(good camera but older)

Only reason i wouldn't vote d80 better than xsi is the xsi gives better high iso shots.

Nikon and canon give very close to the same image quality. Anyone that says they don't owns one or the other and is blinded by there "own brand"

Nikon will have the d90 in 3 months it will be better than the xsi as it will have the same sensor as the d300. at the price range of a xsi.

Don't forget to look at the sony a200 and a350

the a200 has the same sensor as the d80 for half the price.

    I would put the a200 and a350 around #3

Seeing all the camera make about the same iq  you really need to hold them and see what menu's you like the best. What weight you like, what fits your hand. The image quailty comes with the price. more you pay the better it looks. but the better it looks means you just have to do less photoshop work. I'm still making great photos with a camera that is older than everyone you listed.

  7. either are a fine camera system, nikon is still a little behind on the lenses.  Canon makes some mighty fine quality "L" glass.  But either camera system will give you the pics you are looking for.
