  1. 1.  When you plugged the camera in, and then turned it on, did your hear a "ding" or "found new hardware" come up?

    2.  Did the camera come with software?  Most computers don't require it, but if it came with drivers you might want to try installing them.

    3.  Have you tried another USB slot, it could be that the one you are trying is disabled in some way.

    4.  When you go into "My Computer" is there a listing for any other drive than C, D and E?

--Will watch for any additional details and update then.

  2. u can try this..right click on my computer..click manage. under system tools, click on device manager. if u see yellow bang under universal serial bus controller, right click and choose update driver.wait until it complete.

if still not ok try this,

go to control panel..double click on add hardware(if you are using winxp, the rest im not sure). and follow the step to install your camera automatically.

or if still not ok, go to control panel>scanner and camera..on the left side click 'add an imaging devide'..follow the wizard.

my last solution would be restart the computer and unplug the usb cord back.

  3. Unplug the USB cable, turn off the camera, and plug the USB cable back in. The computer won't "talk," if you will, with the camera if it's on.

  4. Don't turn on your camera. Connect the USB cable with the camera turned off. Then look to see if the camera turns on by itself. Then select computer or usb or whatever is on menu.

    good luck
