  1. lol, yea more than likely they'll teach u how 2 swim...or maybe u will have 2 teach urself, idk i only answered ths 4 the 2 points

  2. Well basically you need to learn the basics. If you go NAVY all you have to do is thread water 5 mins and do 50 yd lap, PLUS they show you how if you can't at boot camp.

Go to http://mynavyonline.com they can help if you go NAVY also help out with swimming advice.

  3. Cqan you walk? can you talk? Well than welcome to the military you ship out for Iraq in a week lol

If you agree to go to iraq than probly if not just join the army

  4. it is not called amrines because it ahs to do with water, that is the navy. and you will learn in bootcamp all about swimming if you do not know already, and you haev to qualify at a certain level to pass.

  5. youd better learn before they teach you in the marines cause you wont like it if you don't

  6. You need to learn to do the basics,  You will be required to swim or you will be in boot camp forever and ever and ever,  they will not throw you out,  ( necessarily) but you could be repeating that event for weeks   and weeks, s o learn to swim   take some privates,  go to the pool and talk to them immediately,

but you do not have to be a great swimmer,  My marine ,  is not a great swimmer but managed to pass the test,   but she could swim first, but once again she was not a strong swimmer,

    good luck

  7. ur kidding right

its called the marines because they deal with swimming and water

u better learn before u even apply

  8. They will teach you. I'd advise you to take a swimming class at your local pool and learn how to swim prior to boot camp. I don't think you have to be an expert diver, but you will have to swim 100 meters without grasping on the sides. So check out your local rec center with an indoor pool. Good luck.

  9. both probaly

  10. It's called Marines because it has to do with water.  Swimming is mandatory so I suggest you get your "lazy a**" and start doing laps at the pool.

  11. they will teach you but you wont like the instruction that much so i would learn before you go.  not to make you change your mind about joining the marines but i was a lifeguard for 3years and swim quall kicked my butt at basic.  i would strongly encourage you to learn to swim before you go.  hundreds of people become marines every year so you can to if you set your mind to it.

  12. thats like pirates not knowing how to swim. der. i suggest you learn fast. or get some water wings. they will look fab wit your handsome uniform!

  13. well considering u want to join an elite military branch i would say yes u have to be able to swim! And im not so sure they would teach u, they might. But ur lazy butt is gonna hear alot of bitching from ur drill seargant if ur lazy! but good luck

  14. Why would want to join and expect them to do everything for you when you know the Marines may and do operate on or near alot of water? Self-motivation is key and any Boot Camp film or doc shows Boots in the pool swimming.

  15. learn to swim
