Cant delete photo album off computer?

ok so i wanted to get rid of some unwanted photo albums on my computer and when i try and delete the album it says that it cant delete because its open in another program or whatever...but when i try and do this there are NO OTHER PROGRAMS OPEN...so i dont get why the effing thing just cant delete
