Question:

Cant download wow 10-day free trial?

When i try to download the game i get a message saying: Failed to create

files for World Of Warcraft Trial. Please close all applications and try again.

Does anyone know what this means?,why its happening?, what i can do to fix it and be able to play the 10-day trial.

  1. Depends on which site you are trying to download it from.  You should first try downloading it directly from Blizzard.  Start here:

    You need to create an account before it will allow the download.  If that does not work, you can go to PC Gamer or any other number of sites to download the WOW client and log in with your trial account.

  2. Make sure you are the only user on your PC, or that you are the admin user. If it is a family/school/work pc, there may be lockouts preventing new programs from being downloaded. You may also have a firewall preventing it as well.

    Also, make sure there is space in your system- both that there are not a bunch of programs running in the background and that your hard drive is not full. You can check the hard drive space by going to "My Computer"(XP) and right clicking on the c drive, then going to "Properties".
