  1. oh and for "evidence" you can be like. the princess's barbaric instinct's had finally surfaced or something like that since she's semi-barbaric

  2. A thesis statement is basically a sentence that summarizes your entire essay.  It represents the main idea. You don't have to go into detail, but it should be something like this:

In "The Lady or the Tiger" by Frank Stockton, the tiger should come out of the door because _____ (give your reason).

Then in the rest of your writing you try to support this and prove your thesis statement to be true.

By a summary, I think she wants you to summarize what happened in "The Lady or the Tiger."  Just write four or five sentences telling her what happened in the story.

    I hope this helps you!

  3. The thesis is basically a statement of what your paper is about. In most academic writing, your first paragraph tells the reader what the paper is about and the last paragraph restates the same thing.

Why? because the average teacher is reading dozens of these and nothing helps that homework grade like a clear statement of what they're about to read.

  4. Thank god someone else thinks that's how the story went from that stupid "no-ending" ending!  As to the thesis statement, I would use your supporting evidence and put it into one sentence (it doesn't have to be three-pronged, mind you).  Then the paragraph will just use elaborate on the evidence you put forth.  Good luck.
