The USCIS National Customer Service Center number

1-800-375-5283 is just a dead end recording.

Is there anybody to call to find out what i'm suppose to do.

  1. You need to specify what kind of information you are seeking.  Is it your visa?  Someone else's?  What do you need to know about it or the situation?  You will not be able to get any information about the visa holder.

  2. Still going through this very complicated & confusing situation, I can tell you most numbers you get will be a recording. I don't know how long you've overstayed, but you may still be able to apply for an extention (form I-539+ fee). We called USCIS at 1-202-272-1200 but you need to know the specific numbers of the forms you need information on first.

Whatever your status, you can call your local Office of International Affairs (OIA) or the Dept. of Justice (at 202-514-2648). They may be able to guide you in the right direction.

    Good luck~
