  1. Every signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Richard Henry Lee and Frances Lightfoot Lee were the only brothers to sign the Declaration of Independence.

Richard Henry Lee was one of the best orators of his time, second only to Patrick Henry.

You should read his speech, urging the representatives to sign the Declaration.

Their brother, "Lighthorse" Harry Lee fought honorably during the Revolutionary War and was a close friend of General Washington. He  was also the father of Robert Edward Lee, a famous Civil War general.

The Marquis de Lafayette should certainly be considered as a leader. He wasn't even a colonist, yet fought bravely with the rebels, for their independence.

  2. John Adams (president of the Continental Congress)

    Samuel Adams

    Captain John Parker

    General George Washington

    General Nathaniel Greene

    General Henry Knox

    Ben Franklin

    General Israel Putnam

    General John Sullivan

    Colonel Benedict Arnold

    Major General Charles Lee

  3. George Washington

    Thomas Jefferson

    Benjamin Franklin
