I think I am missing something. I have installed a new 320 Gb Western digital on my older 1999 Dell dimension 4100, Pent III. Formatted it with the WD utility with DDO. (didn't even enable full capacity) I am trying to install my full version of Win XP Pro. Blue screen for setup comes up and loads all the basic stuff then stops at Windows is starting up. I did this once already and got all the way through, but in the end it would not boot kept saying it couldn't see the drive. But the bios sees it just fine. So I whiped the drive with Derrick's boot nuke and started fresh. Any ideas? Maybe chipset? MBR? I cant seem to figure this thing out. I had this machine running with this drive but the OS was an older version of XP home retail upgrade. I had to wipe that out to install XP pro. and now this. Please help
