Can't get my VCR to work

Question

I have a GE TV Model 27GT618. I hooked a VCR - DVD to it but can't get the VCR-DVD to play. I think I have it hooked up right.

I have an old GE and can't view dvd or games. Does the tv need to be on a specific channel?
