Cant get my closed captioning to come back on.?

I was watching top chef and i think I rolled on my remote and now I can't get my closed captioning to come back on. I have satilite and tv all controlled by same remote and when I put it on tv function, it doesn't recognize the menu button. And there are no buttons about menu on my tv. I can't figure out why they went off and I can't figure out how to get them back on since i apparantly can't access the tv menu.

With Satellite your Closed Captions come from the Satellite receiver. No amount of messing with the TV setting will bring back the Closed Captions, you need to address the issue on the Satellite Receiver end. Put the remote on Satellite function then hit menu to get to the settings menu and you should be able to turn it back on from there!
