  1. praying mantis are good luck. not to mention a cool bug to look at. i would take it outside. if it is a pet you can put it in a jar or a box to keep it happy, but i think the best solution is to rerelease him outside, not before taking a picture. they are cool

  2. Have you PRAYED about it yet?

  3. Can you catch it in a glass and then slide a piece of paper under it to contain it and then release it outside?

  4. Praying mantis seem to like warm temperatures, which is probably why it's in your light shade.  You could attempt to let it out of your window???

  5. kill it 4get about the light

  6. Never harm a praying mantis. They are protected by LAW. I would carefully unplug the lamp. Don't knock the mantis out-- they can (dependent on its age) pinch you with their pincher's.

Set the lamp outside and let the mantis go on its marry way. They are wonderful for insect/pest control.

  7. i wouldn't want to get rid of it, praying mantises are good luck!  don't kill it, it's just a bug! scoop it up and take it outside! then you'll be just fine.
