Cant get spark plug wires off of buick regal

THEY MAKE A WIRE REMOVER THAT WILL TAKE CARE OF THAT,AT THE AUTO PARTS STORE.OR TAKE A PAIR OF NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS AND GRAB THE BOOT AND TURN IT BACK&FORTH,THEN PULL BACK,IF THEY ARE THIS HARD TO GET OFF ,YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO REPLACE THEM ANYWAY,SO IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER HOW YOU GET THEM OFF.JUST MAKE SURE YOU TAG THEM SO YOU DON'T GET THE FIRING ORDER MIXED UP

Twist the boot of the spark plug wire 1/2 turn in each direction before pulling if OFF.

You didn't say what year. the instructions are for a 1996, but you can change to a different year.

I broke mine off with a hammer and then unscrew the plug.Then I went and bought new wires and plugs .That was on a 1981 Regal back in 83 and they still can`t make them right.Now I drive a Park Avenue and it is just as bad.

From the plugs of from the distributor?

If you can't get them off the plugs, grab the boots with pliers and twist, then yank them off. You will probably need new wires along with your new plugs.

If they won't come off of the distributor, take a close look at the clip that holds the wires in, and make sure you release it properly.
