  1. Keep trying, I got through yesterday morning - you do get through eventually.

  2. 3 of the 5 call centres were on strike today, try tomorrow

  3. Hi

Had the same problem as we were waiting for my partners paperwork from his accountant as he is self employed.  I was able to get through on the 5th attempt.  I phoned at different times of the day and week but got through by phoning at 08.30 on Monday with a little wait.  Good luck

  4. join the Q we been trying to get our payemts since feb they keep saying its being processed we know we are entitled to it as my hubby only on national min wage and we have 2 kids and i don't work but they won't rush themselves i had no ctc since 5th june and no wftc since feb lol its a joke they are like trained monkeys when u do get thru the computer says this and the computer says that and the computer is never wrong lol its a total farce , why give us these credits weekly or monthly to help us live and hold them back and then pay them in back pay , we don't want it liek that we wanted it to pay bills with they7 are just 1 big joke good luck with them as you will need it

  5. I think you just have to keep trying.  HMRC seem to set deadlines and then are surprised that a lot of people call.  (They're probably taken aback that Christmas comes around every December.)

But practically in future make sure you keep all your payslips.  You should be able to get your earnings figures from these instead of waiting for the P60.  Remember you can always renew the tax credits early using a provisional figure.  Then you have until January 31st to amend this provisional to actual.

I don't know how well you get on with your employer but if there is a break in the tax credits I would have a word with them.  They may tide you over with an interest free loan.  After all, the law says they have to give you your P60 by the end of May at the latest.

  6. Keep trying. You do get through eventually but it can take a little while.

I rang them a couple of weeks ago and it took me a bout three tries to finally get through
