Can't hear the voices on my home samsung HT-X70...

Question

I was fast forwarding a dvd and suddenly lost the voice part of the sound. Everything else comes through, the music, background noise, etc., but no voices. I downloaded a software update that was recommended, but to no effect. Same problem.
