I have a sony trv130, the software is no where to be found and I can NOT find it on the web. I have the firewire cable, works fine, but it does not recognize the camera, therefor does not show up. What can I do? Please HELP!

  1. The Sony TRV130 is a Digital8 camcorder. It has a DV port that uses a 4-pin firewire connector on one side and either a 4-pin or 6-pin firewire connector on the computer side (depending on the firewire port on the computer - if you have to install one, you can control that). This presumes you have an available PCMCIA slot or Express port available...

Once you get the firewire (IEEE1394a, i.Link) port working and have the correct cable, you should already have MovieMaker installed on your computer... or you can try WinDV... and import the video. You do not need the drivers that came in the box.
