Can't install camera software or download photos

Question

since purchasing the camera a couple of years ago, we've upgraded with a new pc which runs on windows vista home premium. We now have a problem now where we can't load the old software that came with the camera (therefore we haven't beeen able tosave any photos). Please advise of how to remedy this problem. Thanks
