Cant log in to my groups?

I recently cancelled my sbcglobal. acct., but i had signed up for my groups under that address. I got a yahoo acct. but it doesnt show my groups there. I get emails from my group under a different address. i've set up a new email w/ yahoo other than the one right after i cancelled sbc. Is there a way i can find those groups and transfer all that to the one i just created?

How did you log in to the Yahoo Groups web site when you had the sbcglobal account?  Did you log in using your e-mail address, or did you have a separate login name (Yahoo ID) at that time?  If it was the latter, then yes, you can recover your memberships easily and transfer your Groups to your new e-mail address.

If this is the case, then recover your Groups memberships by once again logging in to the Yahoo Groups web site with that separate login name.  Then go to http://groups.yahoo.com/member/preferenc... .  Then click Add Email Address towards the upper-left-hand corner.  Follow the directions on the resulting page to add and verify your new Yahoo e-mail address.

After you've finished verifying your new e-mail address, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups?o=2&edi... .  You should see all your Groups in the table on this page.  Then check the Email Address column that runs down the approximate middle of the table.  If any line shows your sbcglobal address, then use the pull-down menus to change these lines (in this column) from your old e-mail address to your new e-mail address.  Don't forget to click the Save Changes button when you're done making changes to this table.

If you had the sbcglobal address as your only login to the Yahoo Groups website, then these memberships are lost, and you'll just have to find and join each of your Groups again with the Yahoo ID that is the first part of your new e-mail address (the part before the @ symbol).
