Can't open Internet Explorer...says...

Hi. The message below appeared on my computer when I attempted to open Internet Explorer. It said "connecting," but never did. It froze, and cntrl alt delete was blank and froze also. Had to reboot to get out of it.

"AOL Error
The main.idx database file is damaged. Error: 65-FONL

The error body is below

To fix the problem, follow these steps to reinstall your AOL software:

1. insert an AOL CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
(we don't have any it was either downloaded from the internet or installed 2003 or so from a disk we no longer have). ANY OTHER WAY TO DO THIS?
2. On the windows start menu, click Run.
3. Type d:\setup (pr e:\setup), then press ENTER.
