Can't read a DVD burned on a laptop with vista...

Question

I'm burning a homemovie with with Vista, it's a movie media player file and it's burned on a DVD+R. I can read it on my laptop, but I can't read it on my cobolt DVD player!!! I think it must be a setting that's wrong or something so I hope you'll be able to help me out.
