  1. Amtract to the states  Via rail   for Canada


  2. Long haul train service in Canada is provided by Via Rail, and international trains into the US are jointly run with Amtrak. But there's no trains from Toronto to Pittsburgh unless you want to go to NY City and then to Pittsburgh which is rather circuitous.

    You want cheap, check Greyhound.
