  1. Go for a run an hr or 2 before bed to tire yourself out. Then turn off everything, computer, tv, music. Then read a book to clear your mind of any stressful thoughts. You'll be snoozing in no time.

  2. Omg i just posted a question JUST like this lol but if i were you i wouldn't worry most first days are just learning names (unless your going to colledge then i don't know) and basically the adrenaline will keep you awake like it is now but you should still just calm your mind down and just try to keep body movement minimal while at the same time not coming back to your computer lol.

  3. f*** it. Don't even bother! You've been trying to get to sleep and it hasn't been working, what makes you think it suddenly will?

Yeah, anxiety sucks. I had that when I got a new job, I had to get up at 7:30 (after 1 year out of highschool and a full summer of sleeping-in, it was really early for me!) and I was stressing that I needed to get to sleep so I wouldn't be late and tired for work. It lasted for a week =/ until I got myself into a schedule.

Read a book, watch tv, go online. Maybe you'll get bored and doze off, maybe not. One night without sleep will not do much harm.

    Good luck!

  4. Okay, Okay take a deep breath first of all.

Go lay down and close your eyes and try not to move any part of your body for at least ten minutes. Don't open your eyes and think about breathing in and out.

I have issues sleeping (like tonight) and it usually works. I'm only up because I slept for hours earlier.

  5. If your trying to get to sleep, jsut go in a room with no lights, no sound, etc. and lay there.  Eyes shut.  Keep your mind blank.  If you find yourself letting your mind wonder about something, just stop.  It isn't easy but you'll get it eventually.

  6. Try to forget you have to get up. Don't let it pressure you. Try some sort of self-hypnosis. If your mind has strange thoughts remind yourself that these are dreams and you are falling asleep. You probably will.

    Good night. :) Rest well.
