At our state 80% of agriculture is based on rains. When there are no rains, no cultivation at all and its a drought. My be lack of irrigation facilities is also a reason for it. But somehow none of us tried to solve this problem(even I dont know if there is a solution). I want to know how such problems will be solved across the world. I am sure ours is not the only area on globe with such situation. How can the ppl in my state stop waiting for rains to sow seeds in their crops. I would like to know how such situations are dealt across the globe. If someone has good enough understanding about this, I can even talk to them through messenger. Waiting for the response.

  1. Yes we can do this by doing rain wayter harvesting. Rainm waetr which is collected thenca be used for irrigation. but if you are from india then you know there is no one to listen. there is no one to ilmplememt on anyone's ideas.NOT EVEN THEN IF IT BENIFITS THE COUNTRY.

  2. there are products out there that will attract soil moisture to the seed if placed with the seed that can draw enough moisture for germination.  By cultivating the soil you can form a "dust Mulch" that decreases evaporation.  Mulching the crop can draw moisture to the root zone and help production.
