Cantaloupe=weight loss/gain?

Okay I eat like one melon a day no joke...Ive actually read before that people use cantaloupe for anorexia for weight gain?! Im confused here. I dont want to gain. Is there a safer fruit...like papaya?

  1. melons are VERY hearty fruits, with a high sugar & vitamin content, so yeah, eating lots can go to weight gain.  the only exception is watermelon, since it has much less content, and more water.


  2. Cantaloupes are very nutritious and NOT fattening.  Even a whole cantaloupe a day would not cause you to gain weight.  Papaya can act as a laxative, and if you ate a whole papaya each day, you'd be spending an awful lot of time in the bathroom!  (not terribly comfortable:)  ...  Actually, cantaloupe is probably one of the LOWER calorie fruits, since it isn't as sweet as something like grapes or watermelon.....

  3. Oh my gosh.

    You will not gain weight by eating melons, I promise.

    Forget calorie counting- learn to love yourself!

    Oh and a balanced, varied diet is best for maintaining a healthy weight. If you want to be healthy, remember- fruits are your friend. :-)
