Question:

Canvas vs. Photoshop?

What's the difference between the two programs? Specifically, what does one program offer over the other? Why would someone use Canvas over Photoshop?

I already use Photoshop, and it is powerful. I am applying to this position, and it asks for knowledge in Canvas; I want to know whether these two are very different, and if I can adapt easily to Canvas.

  1. photoshop is more proffesinol to me♪♡

  2. I haven't used Canvas for a number of years, so things may have changed; with that caveat, though, from what I remember, Canvas was more oriented towards CADplan - type drawing. It's probably more web-oriented now. I used it for a number of interior design layouts. It was not particularly difficult to use, in fact it was very logical and pleasant (this was in about 1997) and I don't think you'd have trouble adapting as long as you're not a painting-only type of Photoshop user. If you can learn new software at all you should be fine. It would probably be a good idea to get a demo and work through some tutorials before your interview.
