Real Mallorca boss, Joaquin Caparros, is hoping the new year will bring his side a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Good-Luck-c39444 and bring their injury woes to an end
Mallorca have been ridden with injuries since the start of this Primera Division campaign and as a result of that they suffered a decline in form.
Caparros is hoping all of that will come to an end in this new year. Additionally, the Mallorca boss is fully aware of what he wants from his players.
The Islanders are slowly getting closer to the drop zone. In fact they have managed to win only one game and draw another in their last eight La Liga games.
That is why the Spanish tactician is urging his players to reignite their hopes and start improving their results on the pitch in order to stay away from the relegation zone.
“We must renew our hopes and improve upon the numbers from 2012. We need to be united too.”
“I ask that the new year brings us no more injuries, because I think that we have exhausted our quote of misfortune for this season.”
Moreover, the 57-year-old then talked about his side’s intensive training session this week and that there are other teams in the League who are similarly struggling for survival. He believes the only way to ensure their survival
is to develop a winning mentality.
“People have trained very hard this week. There are 12 teams in the Division who are very equal and so we must have a winning mentality.”
Finally, Caparros pointed out the need for establishing a solid defensive line for his side. At the moment they are conceding many goals.
“It is important that we reduce the number of goals conceded, just as we did at the end of last season. If we succeed then the team will be awarded, otherwise, we will suffer.”
Real Mallorca are currently one point above the relegation zone as they sit on the 16th position in the table standings.
