Real Mallorca coach, Joaquin Caparros, has admitted his side’s draw with Celta Vigo last night had at times confused him and left him with a bittersweet feeling.
An early goal by Tomer Hemed gave the visitors the lead but things were squared off in the second half after Celta came back and got the equalizer, thanks to a strike by the South Korean, Chu Young Park.
The result has left mixed feelings with Caparros. He stated about his team’s inconsistency throughout the game and said that it confused him.
“This game has confused me. At some points we were strong, at others we were weak.”
The Islanders’ tactician has also mentioned that he was pleased with the result but quite frankly felt the opposite about the performance. It was a game that left him with a bittersweet feeling.
“I am happy with the result, but not so happy with the performance.”
“Getting a draw is a great positive for us – reacting to going a goal down is good as well.”
“But we were really poor going a goal behind like that, so today is a bit bittersweet for me.”
Meanwhile, Celta Vigo boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paco-c29025 Herrera, shares the same feeling with his counterpart and thought the result was fair for his side.
Herrera shared his thoughts and analysis of the game and felt that it was a tough encounter. However, he believes his team had the upper hand during much of the game and maybe could have won it at the end.
“It was a tough game. Mallorca are a very difficult team, but I believe we attacked a lot more and we could have scored again.”
Regardless, he refrained from commenting on what could have happened and is surely content with the single point his side salvaged at home.
“I don't want to say whether we deserved to win or not, because a draw is still a good result.”
The draw means both teams have managed to stay away from the relegation zone for at least this week, and they sit on 15th and 16th position in the Primera Division, separated by just a single point.
