Cape Cobras became the first team to make it to the finals of the Franchise 1-Day Cup. The Cobras accomplished this feat by defeating Dolphins in a fifty-over match played at Newlands, Cape Town, on Wednesday, November 30, 2011.

Cobras caused most of the damage to Dolphins batting line-up.  The medium pacers shared five wickets between them. 
Cobras chased down the total in 29 overs with eight wickets in hand. It was an all-round performance from South African international; http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JH-Kallis-c1692 that paved the way for Cobras win. The personified cricketer gashed 78 runs and
took one wicket while conceding 47 runs from his quota of ten overs.
Kallis, who was playing his first match for Cobras after three years, was also declared the Man of the Match.
Cobras are now placed at the top of Franchise 1-Day Cup points table with 7 wins and one defeat from 10 games. They will now play in the finals of the event which will now be played on Friday, December 9, at Newlands, Cape Town.
Who will play Cobras in the finals is not yet clear; however, it will be either the second placed Knights or the third placed Warriors. Both teams will play in the one-off semi-final on Sunday, December 4.

was head and shoulders above that exhibited by any other player. Preez took five wickets and scored 52 runs.
