Cape Cobras v Knights – Momentum One Day Cup, 2012/13 – Match Update – Cobras secure massive 10-wicket win
A focused and intense bowling performance enabled the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Cape-Cobras-c776 to cruise to a comfortable 10-wicket win over the Knights in their list A match during the ongoing Momentum One Day Cup, played at the Boland Park in Paarl on November 18.
The Knights kicked the match off on their own terms, and chose to bat after winning the toss. However, they were unable to do justice to their decision, with the Player of the Match http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Johann-Louw-c67196 (7-2-13-2), and Charl
Langeveldt (8-3-17-2) on the prowl. The Cobras’ ruthless bowling attack crushed the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Knights-c805 with a swift assault, and left them reeling, all out, at a dismal 94 by the 35th over.
Only four of the Knights batsmen managed to fight their way up to a double-digit score – coming in at number 9, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-McLaren-c2232 (10) also attempted
to put up something of a fight.
However, the rest of the batsmen put forth disappointing performances – opener http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Obus-Pienaar-c2135
(7), http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nicky-Boje-c2105 (8), and Duanne Olivier (3) were all similarly disappointing, and the Cobras succeeded in restricting the Knights easily to 94.
Predictably, the Cobras faced no difficulties in successfully chasing down the target, and managed not to lose a single wicket in the process.
