Fabio Capello took charge of the Russian national football team after signing a two-year contract with the Russian Football Union.
The Italian tactician, who has won domestic titles with AC Milan, Real Madrid, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 and Juventus before becoming England’s manager in 2007, was appointed Russia’s manager after d**k Advocaat’s resignation last month.

Russia were denied a chance to progress from the group stages after being knocked out of the tournament in Ukraine and Poland.
If speculations are to be believed, former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp, and former Barcelona coach, Pep Guardiola, were leading the race to become next manager for the Euro 2008 semi-finalists.
However, it came as a surprise when the Russian Football Union decided Capello, who resigned as England boss in February, to take charge as their manager until 2014. The 64-year-old Italian coach is expected to help the Russian
national team after enjoying a four-year spell with England.
Upon his appointment, Capello has assured the fans of instant improvement in the team, hinting at a promising World Cup 2014 campaign.
