New York Liberty vs. Connecticut Sun
Cappie Pondexter 
Cappie Pondexter scored a team high 27 points, including 13 of them in the second half, in New York Liberty’s 84-81 overtime victory the Connecticut Sun at Prudential Center. The 28-year-old guard also grabbed six rebounds and
dished out assists. The player shot 11 for 26 from the field, pinning 3 for 7 shots from downtown.
Essence Carson
Essence Carson had 19 points, eight rebounds, five steals and three assists in New York’s second consecutive victory. The guard forward went 8 for 17 from the floor in more than 38 minutes of action.
Kia Vaughn
Kia Vaughn recorded a double-double for the Liberty. Vaughn racked up 17 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in the win. The 6 ft 4 in centre player also blocked three crucial shots of the rivals.
Tina Charles
Tina Charles registered her second straight double-double in Connecticut’s defeat. Charles posted a game high 29 points and 14 rebounds. Miss Basketball for New York State also contributed three steals and two blocks. The 22-year-old
ended with 10 for 20 from the field and 9 for 11 from free throw line.
Minnesota Lynx vs. Washington Mystics
Seimone Augustus
At Verizon Center, Seimone Augustus punctuated 18 points and dished out three assists in Minnesota Lynx’s 81-62 victory over the slumping Washington Mystics. The 27-year-old shooting guard was 8 for 12 from the floor.
Maya Moore
Lynx’s Maya Moore was another prominent contributor in their victory. Moore added 14 points, four steals and four rebounds in more than 30 minutes. She hit 6 for 8 from the field.
Matee Ajavon
Matee Ajavon led Washington with 15 points on a 6 for 19 shooting from the field. Ajavon also stole two important shots of the Lynx.
Marissa Coleman
Marissa Coleman was another bright spot in Mystics’ third consecutive defeat. The guard forward finished with 12 points, five rebounds and three steals in the loss. Coleman hit 2 of 4 three-pointers.
Los Angeles Sparks vs. Indiana Fever
Ebony Hoffman
Ebony Hoffman came off the bench with 21 points in Los Angeles Sparks’ 75-70 win over the Indiana Fever at Staples Center. The 28-year-old also grabbed seven rebounds against her former team. The Narbonne High School’s product
went 7 for 11 from the field, including 3 for 7 beyond the arc, and 4 for 4 from free throw line.
Candace Parker
Candace Parker chipped in with 18 points, six rebounds and five assists in the victory. Parker hit 5 for 11 from the floor and 7 for 12 from the line to snap three-game winning streak of Indiana.
Erin Phillips
Erin Phillips led Indiana with 16 points on a 6 for 12 shooting from the field. Fever’s guard also had five rebounds, five assist and two steals in the losing effort.
