The former Roma player went on to state his opinions over the newly appointed coach of Pescara; remarking that comparisons were being made between Stroppa and Zeman.
Pescara made a name for playing attractive and direct football, which is a move away from traditional Italian football, which looks to build teams around defence and attack through counter attacks. Zdenek Zeman won a lot of admirers for the style of play
his team implemented.
One of Zeman’s former players has taken over the coaching reins at Pescara, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 boss, when he played for Foggia in the
1990’s, and will be succeeding his former coach at the club.
The 44-year-old has left a favourable impression on the players, and Gianluca Caprari reflected that the coach has put them through a rigorous regimen. Caprari joined the Delfini in the winter transfer market of 2012, and has had firsthand experience of
being coached by Zdenek Zeman.
Caprari remarked on the difference in training between AS Roma and Pescara, and stated:
“With Stroppa it has been tough. With Roma last pre-season under Luis Enrique, we began work immediately with the ball, leaving less time for physical training.”
The former Roma player was not present at the pre-season training under Zdenek Zeman, but he remarked that his teammates who had played under the Italian stated that the regimen under Stroppa and Zeman are similar. He went on to state:
“My current teammates who were with Pescara last summer are telling me that this work with Stroppa is very similar to that done under Zeman.”
The former Roma youth player had been linked with a move back to the Stadio Olimpico outfit after impressing in the Delfini side that gained promotion from the Serie B this season.
The Pescara striker played for the Delfini on 13 occasions and was on the score sheet three times. The Biancazzurri player will be hoping to remain an integral part of the team, however, the need for survival into their first season in the Serie A after
promotion, might lead them to look for an experienced striker.
