Captain's bed, problem about moving it to a different wall in my room?

Ok, so I have what I guess is called a 'Captain's Bed," ya know the bed with the section underneath that has drawers and shelves (that section can be pulled out, if you wanted to hide behind it.. lol) but the back side is completely open, there isn't like a wooden back to cover it, so it basically has to put up against a wall on that side. Well, I want to move stuff around in my room but one wall has a giant window and the other wall has my door and my closet doors (its a double door closet)so once you walk through my door, you are staring at the wall with the giant window. So, my bed is already against the window and I hate it and I want more room in my room, so I want to be able to have only my headbored againt the wall, so my bed would be sticking out of the middle, how can I do that if one of the bed sides has no board to cover up the open-ness? lol. Can I make a board to cover it up? and still make it look good? Sorry about the confusingness! Thanks!

  1. Just get an inexpensive piece of pre-finished panneling nearest the color of the bed.It can be cut-to-size and fitted very easy. This project should cost $20.00 to do.

  2. Sure, you can get some veneer plywood in the same species as the rest of your bed and stain to match.
