Captain Cee Bee – One of the most consistent performers of modern era
There have been a very few stallions in the history of horseracing, who have managed to perform with consistency throughout their career and Captain Cee Bee is certainly one of them. He is not very young, but still manages to give a tough time to his opponents
on most of the occasions, which is quite an impressive fact.
The veteran runner first appeared onto the scene in 2005 and should have raced in a lot of events until now. However, he has always been tested in selective contests, where there has been some challenge for him.
Overall, Captain Cee Bee has participated in 27 events and has managed to maintain a very high winning percentage. He has tasted success on 12 times whereas finished as a runner up twice. In addition to that, he has also secured the third spot on six occasions,
which shows that he has mostly been fighting for the top-three positions in his career.
There have only been seven races, where the experienced stallion has missed out on the top-three positions, which is quite an impressive record. Therefore, he has earned a lot of respect over the years and will always be remember as one of the best in the
business.
However, he is still racing and is doing a fabulous job for his team. He has been delivering some great results during the 2012 season and will be looking to finish the year on a high with a couple of more solid performances.
The Edward P. Harty’s trainee has appeared in five races this year and managed to challenge his opponents with consistency in them. He started the season on a low note, finishing fifth in the first race. Some critics might have thought that it was time for
him to retire, but he responded with some spirited showings.
The 11-year-old gelding did not drop out of the top-three after that race and managed to succeed on a couple of times. Moreover, he finished as a runner up and third once each, which proved that he still has the ability to cause problems for his rivals.
He has raced with different jockeys throughout his career and the most notable ones were A. P. McCoy, Mark Walsh and Robert Thornton.
