Capturing footage shot at 24P at 29.9 fps?

I shot a short film in 24P and I'm now going to edit with Premiere. But my problem is I don't have access to Premiere Pro, which is the only version of Premiere that can capture 24P. What happens if I capture at 29.9? Are there any other solutions?

  1. Other versions of Premiere can capture 24p, but they don't drop the pulldown frames that are added to conform to the DV standard.  You can use your footage as is, but if you're not happy with it you'll need to look at ways of removing the pulldown frames.
