  1. Get a lawyer is what you should do!

  2. Plead No contest and ask for Deferred Adjudication Probation if they will allow it.  The Court should grant this if you have a clean driving history. You will be on probation for a period of 90 days to a year. Often the time imposed is 6 mos.  It depends on the offence and the jurisdiction.  After the probation period is over the ticket is dismissed. You have to pay your court cost and fees upfront, but it is completely off your record after it's all said and done which is the important thing. A Not Guilty Plea will get you no where, neither will trying to rechedule the hearings. It's a waste of your time, when the bottom line will be the same. This is a rear end collision and in the majority of states no witness is needed to support this traffic violation.

Kudos to you for asking! ~J~

  3. Fight it. You think that owning up to your responsibility is the right thing to do and it is if all parties involved are fair minded and reasonable. They're not. If you plead out, you'll get screwed later and you won't have any recourse. Fight it. Even if you lose you will still be in a better position than if just cave in.

  4. Plead not guilty,  ask for a jury trial.  reschedule as many times as you can... When it comes to the date, people won't show up, case dismissed.

Citations for wrecks are BS.  just another way for the man the s***w you over.

  5. Plead no contest, pay for it, and be done.

  6. Be a man (or woman) you screwed up and own up to it.
