Car Accident NO FAULT?

I drive very carefully and stop almost 1-2 meter from the car in front of me. And All sudden the car behind me crashed me and i got hit from back and push me to the front.

I got this guy car's number plate and driving license. But it's difficult to contact him. Police and VICROAD and my insurance doenst even interested to help me chasing this guy...any one can help? It's been 14 days i wait from him promising about "his insurance" he didnt even tell me the detail ........HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT? until he fixed his car? and i got no evidence? thanks for the systems that "protected" the bad people driving carelessly !!!!

I'd say it's not your concern. You claim on your insurance.

You didn't mention whether you actually hit the car in front of you, and whether you also exchanged details with him/ her.

So in the absence of any evidence other than "you say" and "he says", you are liable for the damage to the front car, unless the driver of the front car can confirm you had stopped before being rammed into him/ her, and is willing to make a statement to that effect.

Your insurer is the one to sort things out. In the most favourable way to themselves, of course.

ummm no fault means your insurance should cover damages. why would you cant to chase in down??

why did you not call the police right after the accident???

he probably doesn't even have insurance.  otherwise he would have given it to you after the accident.

Your insurance company should be the one to "chase him down".  Why would you worry about it ?  Your insurance should pay for your repairs and then try to collect from him...Are you speaking to your insurance compamy about it ?
