Car Adapter?

My Family and I are going on a road trip and are planning on taking our Xbox 360 on the road to play on the screens we already have. We are looking for a good quality car adapter that can plug into the cigarette lighter in our car. We would like it to produce more than enough to power an Xbox 360. Our last one that came with the built in screens we had blew and doesn't work anymore so we don't know where to start. Please help me select an power supply ( I don't know what its called) as I have no idea where to start. Please tell me how I should select one or what brand and voltage or whatever I should be looking for.

go to walmart and get a black & decker inverter in the automotive section. Your xbox specs will tell you how much wattage it will need . just match that with the proper inverter

They are called power INVERTER.  You add all the WATT rating the devices you want to run together then get a inverter greater than that.  So if your LCD monitor is 70 watts and the Xbox is 90 watt, then you need something at LEAST 160 watt rated (90 + 70 = 160 watt).

But normal cigarette lighter can only go about 10 amp to 15 amp (120 watt to 180 watt).  Any more you would have to wire the inverter directly to the battery.

Radio Shack and Sears has wide selection of inverters.  I got a Black and Decker inverter (400 watt) it served me well so far.

i put my 360 in my envoy and if screwed up the altenator pulls to much juice
