Question:

Car Amplifier Scratches

I know I asked this question last time, but I would like to know though how to remove scratches off a metal surface on an amplifier? They are sort of deep scratches, but if anyone knows how to at least make the scratches look not as bad, I would appreciate it. My scratches are located on the front metal part on an Alpine PDX-5. Look on the Alpine website for pictures: www.alpine-usa.com

  1. If the scratches are down into the metal itself, you might not be able to remove them completly. One thing you could try is a small grinding wheel attatched to a Dremel tool or something similar. If they are not that noticeable, you could go to the cosmetics dept at a Wal-mart etc. and find a shade of nail polish that matches the color of the amp. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it, if the system works, I'd be happy with that.
