  1. To tell you the truth i had problem with my cars battery system after my installation of my amp and speakers. It depend on how old your car is.A alternator wears out during the years and end up with lower charging rate to handle all the load that your car and your sound system takes.A higher amp alternator will charge your battery faster.A bigger battery can also help because your cars wiring wear out and takes more current.I've done that and my car power system problems were solved.

  2. Here's a simple and cheap fix for most power problems. Hook a ground cable the same size as the cable going to your amp(s) from the battery to the chassis. Make sure you clean the surface of any rust or paint to get a good connection.

If you really want a second battery, check out www.summitracing.com . They offer several kits as well as battery boxes or hold downs. Look for a deep cycle or marine battery that can take the abuse of being drained down to nothing and recharged several times.

I don't recommend just running one battery from the trunk. I had a friend do this (because he thought his car was a race car) and he always had problems starting his car.
