Car Buying Help?

I'm 16 and about to buy my first car. I already have the car picked out, 05 Dodge Neon SXT with 42,800 miles for $5,000, but have some issues. I don't get my license until October and wanted to know a few things. When you get a car, do you have to insure it, have it inspected and registered right away? I won't be driving it until October so do I need those things right away?

  1. no you only need to register it when you start driving it, unless your parents will be driving it, or you will be learning in it.

plus you get masssive fines if the police catch a car on the road and its unregistered.

and as for insurance, you dont need it, but its pretty handy to have if you get into a crash, or someone backs into you. no money out of your pocket, and i mean BIG money
