Question:

Car/Car Insurance Question?

Now, I don't have a car at the moment and I'm looking but my friends mom told me that I can go on line ---insurance company websites-- and see what the cheapest cars to insure are. Is that true, 'cause I went to Aig.com and I'm not really sure what I want to look for or click on. Obviously if I don't have a car I can't get a quote. Should there be a list on the sites, or some thing...? Help, please...

  1. If you have an idea of some cars you might want to buy you could try comparing quotes online and just entering in different cars to see which is the most affordable for you.

Here is an article with a list of the cheapest cars to insure:

  2. here's one comparison site i use to check out cars, it's free, just fill the form and they'll come up with the quote, then you can back up, change car and get another quote.

good luck and drive safe out there!

  3. I would like to recommend you grab as much as resource as you can before making decision, here is a good place for that purpose.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/a...

  4. You don't need to have the car to get a quote. You can just use the vehicle information to get your quote. Remember, quotes mean that...QUOTES. The price isn't exact until you have the VIN number of the vehicle, and you know EXACTLY what's on your DMV printout.

In terms of what to look for in coverages, it really depends on what your budget is and how much value your car is.

Liability - Covers the other party you hit

Uninsured motorist - covers you if someone without insurance hits you.

Medical- Covers your passangers in medical bills REGARDLSS OF FAULT

Comprehensive - Covers your vehicle for anything except a collision (theft, vandalism, glass breakage, etc). Usually this requires you to pay a certain amount out of your pocket before the insurance pays for damages (called a deductible)

Collision - Covers your vehicle in an accident. Same rules apply for the deductible.

Companies also offer discounts for certain professions, or if you have a high GPA.
