Hey guys.

I am filming a short film that involves a car crash. I have made a full size cardboard car and painted and shaped it all right. It needs to have a crash. You don't actually see it crash in the film, you only see the car crashed after impact. I am going to put crime scene tape around to show the police are there and there are going to be red and blue flashing lights. BUT i want it to look more realistic has any1 got any ideas on how to do this.

BTW i also have a fake dead body which will be laying next to the car with blood coming out of it. And a BIG pool of blood around it.

Thanks

  1. rain adds realistic drama, and masks imperfections in the set =)

  2. dress the set a little..

maybe have some glass over the floor..

if you can have some sort of steam coming from the car..

add some sound effects.. police radios etc..

research some car crash scenes and take some tips from there.
